Cable One, Inc. (CABO) released its financial and operational results for the quarter and fiscal year ending December 31, 2023, showcasing a mix of successes and challenges.
In the fourth quarter of 2023, Cable One reported revenues of $411.8 million, slightly down from $425.5 million in the same period of 2022, marking a 3.2% decrease. Despite this, the company witnessed a significant turnaround in net income, with $115.3 million in profits compared to a net loss of $77.2 million in Q4 2022.
For the full fiscal year 2023, Cable One’s revenues remained relatively stable at $1.678 billion compared to $1.706 billion in 2022, with a slight decline of 1.6%. However, the company saw an improvement in net income, reaching $267.4 million, up from $234.1 million in the previous year.
Julie Laulis, President and CEO of Cable One, expressed optimism, citing a return to sequential residential high-speed data customer growth in Q4 2023 and the company’s focus on high-margin residential data and business services products, which accounted for over 77% of revenues in the quarter.
Despite challenges in operating cash flows and a decline in Adjusted EBITDA, Cable One remains committed to executing its business plan for 2024, aiming to achieve sustained growth and profitability in the competitive telecommunications market.
