The company reported a 14% year-over-year revenue growth, reflecting strong demand for its innovative next-generation security (NGS) offerings. In addition, the board announced a two-for-one stock split to increase share accessibility and bolster liquidity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Q1 Financial Highlights<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Palo Alto Networks achieved total revenue of $2.1 billion for the quarter, up from $1.9 billion in the same period last year. I expect this will be a multiyear trend for which we are best positioned to deliver.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The platformization approach has allowed the company to streamline security operations for its clients while addressing the increasingly complex challenges of cybersecurity threats and artificial intelligence (AI) deployment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Stock Split Announcement<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In a move aimed at increasing market participation, Palo Alto Networks\u2019 board of directors approved a two-for-one forward stock split. Each shareholder of record as of December 12, 2024, will receive one additional share for every share held, with trading on a split-adjusted basis set to begin on December 16, 2024. This decision also increases the company\u2019s authorized shares from 1 billion to 2 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Raised Financial Guidance for FY2025<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Following its strong Q1 performance, Palo Alto Networks raised its guidance for the fiscal year:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Total Revenue:<\/strong> Now projected between $9.12 billion and $9.17 billion, representing a 14% year-over-year increase.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>NGS ARR:<\/strong> Anticipated to reach $5.52 billion to $5.57 billion, reflecting growth of 31%-32%.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>RPO:<\/strong> Forecasted to range between $15.2 billion and $15.3 billion, up 19%-20% year-over-year.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Non-GAAP Operating Margin:<\/strong> Expected to be between 27.5% and 28%.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Diluted Non-GAAP EPS:<\/strong> Projected at $6.26 to $6.39 per share.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For Q2 FY2025, the company expects revenue of $2.22 billion to $2.25 billion and NGS ARR between $4.70 billion and $4.75 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Future Prospects<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Dipak Golechha, Chief Financial Officer, emphasized the company\u2019s strong momentum heading into the rest of the fiscal year. \u201cOur platformization progress continued in Q1, driving strong financial results. As a result, we are raising our NGS ARR, revenue, and non-GAAP EPS guidance for the year,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Palo Alto Networks\u2019 Q1 performance demonstrates the strength of its cybersecurity offerings and strategic vision.
