The company attributed its success to \u201cbroad-based growth,\u201d strong holiday sales, and its nearly completed restructuring program initiated in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3M reported adjusted earnings per share of $1.68, beating analyst expectations, and generated $6 billion in revenue\u2014a slight year-over-year increase of 0.1%. Excluding sales from \u201cforever chemicals,\u201d which the company has ceased producing, revenue still exceeded projections at $5.8 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Growth was driven by standout performances in its Transportation &amp; Electronics and Safety &amp; Industrial units. The Transportation &amp; Electronics segment saw a 3.4% rise in revenue to $7.5 billion, bolstered by new product launches and market share gains. Safety &amp; Industrial revenue grew 0.7% to $11 billion, fueled by increased demand for industrial adhesives and roofing materials. However, revenue at the Consumer division declined 1.2% to $4.9 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company\u2019s restructuring efforts, aimed at streamlining operations and enhancing margins, have largely concluded.
