The appointments come under the leadership of newly appointed CEO Lip-Bu Tan, who is reshaping Intel\u2019s management structure to reinvigorate innovation and competitiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The hires include Srinivasan Iyengar, Jean-Didier Allegrucci, and Shailendra Desai\u2014each bringing decades of technical and leadership experience to critical engineering divisions. Iyengar, who previously served at Cadence Design Systems, will head Intel\u2019s new customer engineering center and report directly to Tan. Allegrucci, formerly with Rain AI, will lead development of Intel\u2019s AI System-on-Chip (SoC) engineering, while Desai, a former Google executive, will drive new AI chip architecture development. Both Allegrucci and Desai will report to Sachin Katti, Intel\u2019s chief technology and AI officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tan, who took the helm in March, has prioritized streamlining Intel\u2019s leadership, cutting unnecessary layers of management, and placing a sharper focus on engineering execution and customer satisfaction. Among his early changes was the promotion of longtime sales leader Greg Ernst to chief revenue officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cGreg, Srini, J-D and Shailendra are highly accomplished leaders with strong reputations across our ecosystem and they will each play important roles as we position our business for the future,\u201d Tan said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new appointments reflect Intel\u2019s renewed emphasis on strengthening its foundry and AI businesses as it works to regain its footing in a rapidly evolving semiconductor landscape.
