Dragonfly Energy Holdings (DFLI), the Reno-based maker of Battle Born Batteries\u00ae, announced it has been selected by Nevada Tech Hub for funding in the program\u2019s first round of awards. The initiative, part of a federally designated network of 31 Tech Hubs nationwide, aims to bolster Nevada\u2019s lithium battery supply chain and workforce development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The award, expected to total about $300,000, will be applied toward production system upgrades, workforce expansion, and high-impact modernization initiatives. Dragonfly plans to advance toward ISO 9001 certification, modernize its battery manufacturing lines, and adopt new production technologies. These improvements could yield six-figure annual savings, which the company intends to reinvest into training programs with Truckee Meadows Community College and the University of Nevada, Reno.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nevada Tech Hub\u2019s support underscores Dragonfly\u2019s role in the state\u2019s \u201cLithium Loop,\u201d a regional ecosystem linking extraction, processing, manufacturing, and recycling. With nearly 400,000 square feet of manufacturing space in South Reno, the company says it is well-positioned to scale operations and anchor high-value clean energy jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
