EV maker delivers 19,248 vehicles during the quarter and maintains full-year guidance of 65,000 to 70,000 deliveries

Rivian Automotive (RIVN) reported third-quarter 2026 production and delivery figures that were in line with the electric vehicle maker’s expectations, while reaffirming its full-year delivery outlook.

The Irvine, California-based company produced 19,751 vehicles at its manufacturing facility in Normal, Illinois, during the three months ended September 30. Rivian delivered 19,248 vehicles over the same period, putting deliveries at roughly 97% of quarterly production.

Management said the results were consistent with its previous outlook and maintained its 2026 delivery guidance of 65,000 to 70,000 vehicles.

The quarterly figures provide investors with an early indication of Rivian’s operating performance ahead of its full third-quarter financial results. Attention will likely focus on the company’s production costs, cash position, margins and progress toward improving profitability as Rivian continues scaling its manufacturing operations.

Rivian’s production performance is particularly important as the automaker prepares for its next stage of growth. Maintaining manufacturing efficiency while controlling expenses will be critical as the company works to expand its vehicle lineup and reach a broader customer base.

With nearly 20,000 vehicles produced during the third quarter, Rivian enters the final three months of 2026 with its annual delivery target unchanged. Investors will now look to the upcoming earnings report for additional details on financial performance, demand trends and management’s expectations heading into 2027.
