Dutch Bros Inc. (BROS) shares experienced an uptick following the release of their fourth-quarter financial results on Wednesday. The company exceeded expectations across key metrics, signaling robust performance.
In Q4, Dutch Bros reported earnings of 4 cents per share, doubling the analyst consensus estimate of 2 cents and marking a 33.33% increase from the same period last year. Quarterly sales amounted to $254.12 million, surpassing the analyst consensus estimate by 0.54% and reflecting a substantial 25.91% year-over-year growth.
Christine Barone, CEO of Dutch Bros, expressed satisfaction with the company’s performance, highlighting their consistent expansion efforts. The fourth quarter marked the 10th consecutive quarter with over 30 new shop openings, contributing to the company’s remarkable growth trajectory.
Barone emphasized the achievements of 2023, including the opening of 159 shops, with a significant majority being company-operated. The company also achieved its highest system AUV since the IPO and recorded a 2.8% increase in system same-shop sales growth, leading to an impressive 31% annual revenue growth.
Looking ahead to 2024, Dutch Bros anticipates total shop openings between 150 and 165, with projected revenues ranging from $1.190 billion to $1.205 billion. Same-shop sales growth is forecasted to be in the low single digits, reflecting the company’s continued expansion and sustained momentum.
