Cutting-edge Thermal Runaway Shield Technology to Enhance Compliance and Performance

KULR Technology Group (KULR), a trailblazer in sustainable energy management, has announced a groundbreaking collaboration with H55, a global leader in electric propulsion, surpassing a $1 million commitment. This partnership will see H55 integrating KULR’s innovative Thermal Runaway Shield (TRS) into its propulsion systems, utilized by industry giants like Pratt & Whitney and CAE (CAE)

The incorporation of KULR’s TRS into H55’s Electrical Propulsion System (EPS) is pivotal for ensuring compliance with stringent safety regulations, particularly those set forth by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). With EASA’s recent approval of the H55 EPS solution, this collaboration enters a critical phase of certification, bolstering safety standards while maintaining efficiency and energy density.

Michael Mo, CEO of KULR, emphasized the significance of this collaboration in advancing safety standards within the electric aviation sector, aiming to anticipate and meet evolving regulatory requirements. Similarly, Martin Larose, CEO of H55, highlighted the transformative impact of KULR’s TRS technology, enabling H55 to emerge as a global leader in electric propulsion while meeting the rigorous demands of regulatory bodies like EASA.

As the global hybrid aircraft market continues to surge, KULR remains at the forefront of innovation, driving progress in energy management solutions for the electric aviation industry. With a projected CAGR of 41.6% from 2023 to 2030, this partnership underscores the potential for transformative advancements in electric propulsion technology.
