Innovative Next Generation Delivery Vehicles Will Hit US Roads
Oshkosh Corporation has commenced the rollout of 50,000 electrified trucks for the United States Postal Service (USPS), to be completed over the next four to five years. This ambitious initiative is part of a larger vision, with a follow-up contract aimed at deploying an additional 150,000 vehicles over the next decade. The first of these advanced trucks has already hit the roads in Atlanta, marking a significant milestone in the USPS’s journey toward sustainability.
Oshkosh is at the forefront of electrifying purpose-built, route-based commercial fleet vehicles, setting new standards across various industries. The company’s innovative approach spans construction, fire apparatus, airport ground support equipment, refuse and recycling collection, and defense. At their latest exhibit, Oshkosh showcased two standout models: the Next Generation Delivery Vehicle (NGDV) for USPS and the McNeilus® Volterra™ ZSL™, a zero-emission electric refuse and recycling collection vehicle.
