Record Revenue Growth, Strategic Expansion, and Raised Guidance Highlight the Company’s Leadership in the Quantum Industry
IonQ (IONQ) delivered another milestone quarter, underscoring the rapid commercialization of quantum computing with record GAAP revenue of $80.1 million, representing an impressive 287% year-over-year increase. The strong performance was driven by record deployments across the company’s expanding quantum computing platform, reflecting growing demand from enterprise, government, and international customers.
The quarter demonstrated that IonQ’s growth is becoming increasingly diversified. International customers accounted for approximately 50% of total revenue, while commercial clients represented 60%, highlighting broad adoption beyond research institutions. Additionally, multi-product offerings generated roughly 25% of quarterly revenue, signaling that customers are embracing IonQ’s expanding ecosystem rather than relying on a single product.
A key strategic achievement during the quarter was the completion of IonQ’s acquisition of SkyWater Technology, creating what the company describes as the first vertically integrated, full-stack quantum platform. The acquisition strengthens IonQ’s control over hardware development, manufacturing capabilities, and software integration, positioning the company to accelerate innovation while reducing dependence on third-party suppliers.
Management also reaffirmed confidence in the company’s long-term trajectory, stating that organic growth remains robust and continues to support expectations for 100% organic revenue growth during full-year 2026. This confidence is reinforced by a 297% year-over-year increase in remaining performance obligations, providing greater visibility into future revenue and customer demand.
Reflecting its strong execution, IonQ raised its full-year 2026 revenue guidance to a range of $280 million to $290 million, signaling continued momentum through the remainder of the year.
As governments and enterprises continue investing heavily in next-generation computing technologies, IonQ appears well-positioned to capitalize on the expanding quantum market. With record deployments, a vertically integrated technology stack, and a rapidly growing global customer base, the company is strengthening its position as one of the leading players in the race to commercialize quantum computing.
