KULR Technology Group (KULR) announced Wednesday that it has expanded its Bitcoin Treasury holdings to 1,021 BTC, following an additional $10 million in bitcoin purchases. The new acquisitions bring the company’s total investment in bitcoin to approximately $101 million, at a weighted average purchase price of $108,884 per BTC, including fees and expenses.
This move is part of KULR’s broader Bitcoin Treasury Strategy, launched in December 2024, which commits up to 90% of the company’s surplus cash reserves to bitcoin. The strategy underscores KULR’s position as a “Bitcoin First” company, while reinforcing its broader mission as a global leader in sustainable energy management.
One of the most striking metrics from the update is KULR’s 291.2% BTC Yield year-to-date. The company defines BTC Yield as the percentage change in the ratio of its bitcoin holdings to its assumed fully diluted shares outstanding, offering a proprietary key performance indicator (KPI) it believes best reflects the shareholder value generated by its bitcoin accumulation strategy.
KULR has used a blend of financing tools to support its bitcoin acquisition efforts, including its recently secured $20 million bitcoin-backed credit facility from Coinbase Credit and an ongoing At-The-Market (ATM) equity program.
As KULR continues to expand its bitcoin position, it also tracks other performance measures such as BTC Gain, BTC Dollar Gain, and modified Net Asset Value (mNAV), further aligning its financial reporting with the emerging digital asset economy.
With this latest milestone, KULR further cements its commitment to bitcoin as both a treasury asset and a long-term strategic advantage in the evolving financial landscape.
