Cybersecurity leader posts record net new ARR, raises full-year outlook and sees growing AI adoption creating a major security opportunity

CrowdStrike (CRWD) delivered stronger-than-expected fiscal second-quarter 2027 results, sending shares more than 10% higher in after-hours trading as demand for its cloud-based cybersecurity platform continued to accelerate.

The cybersecurity company reported quarterly revenue of $1.47 billion, up roughly 26% year over year and ahead of Wall Street expectations of approximately $1.44 billion. Adjusted earnings came in at $0.31 per share, topping analysts’ estimate of $0.29.

Annual recurring revenue reached $5.84 billion, representing 25% year-over-year growth. CrowdStrike also generated a record $333 million in net new ARR, up 51% from the prior-year period. Free cash flow reached a Q2 record of $377 million, while operating cash flow totaled $530 million.

CEO George Kurtz called the quarter the best in CrowdStrike’s history, highlighting record performance from Falcon Flex and growing demand for cybersecurity as enterprises rapidly deploy artificial intelligence. Management believes protecting AI-powered organizations could represent one of the company’s largest long-term opportunities.

CrowdStrike also raised its fiscal 2027 revenue forecast to between $5.991 billion and $6.01 billion, up from its previous range of $5.91 billion to $5.96 billion.

The combination of accelerating recurring revenue, strong cash generation and an improved outlook suggests CrowdStrike is gaining momentum as AI adoption increases the complexity—and importance—of enterprise cybersecurity.
