America First Defense Secures Rights to Precision Drone-Mounted Electronic Warfare System
Gaxos.ai (GXAI) announced that America First Defense (AFD) has secured a license for the Detachable Drone Highjacker (DDH), an advanced drone-mounted electronic warfare payload designed to counter hostile unmanned aerial systems. The technology was originally developed at the Naval Postgraduate School and represents a new approach to airborne counter-drone defense.
The DDH system is engineered to attach to a friendly drone and neutralize enemy unmanned aircraft through targeted cyber operations rather than traditional signal jamming. Conventional counter-drone technologies typically rely on broad-spectrum interference that disrupts communications signals across a wide area. In contrast, the DDH platform is designed for precise, selective engagement of hostile drones in air-to-air scenarios.
By leveraging cyber-based targeting capabilities, the system aims to disable enemy drones without affecting surrounding communications infrastructure or friendly systems. This precision capability is particularly valuable in environments where maintaining operational connectivity is critical, such as military operations, homeland security deployments, and protection of critical infrastructure.
The licensing agreement enables America First Defense to further develop and commercialize the technology, positioning the company to create a scalable airborne counter-UAS platform. Potential applications include military defense operations, border security, infrastructure protection, and other security-sensitive environments increasingly threatened by the rapid proliferation of drone technology.
According to Gaxos CEO Vadim Mats, the technology represents a differentiated solution in the growing counter-drone market. Mats noted that the company’s investment in AFD places Gaxos at the forefront of emerging defense technologies focused on precision electronic warfare.
As drone usage expands across both commercial and military sectors, the demand for advanced counter-UAS systems continues to grow. Gaxos indicated that additional updates regarding development and deployment initiatives for the DDH platform will be provided as the program progresses.
